Vietnam

Vietnam is one of Farouk Café’s current origins. We travel there to meet producers and coffee professionals, cup and evaluate lots, and decide which coffees to bring home and roast in Arizona.

Vietnam is often associated with commodity Robusta. Lots that are carefully grown, selected and processed show that Robusta can offer real quality and a character of its own. Alongside it, Vietnam’s highlands also produce Arabica with a very different profile.

Our Vietnamese coffees

Basalt Velvet™ is a honey-processed Fine Robusta, and Mist Laurel™ a natural-process Arabica. Dusk Accord™, a planned blend of Robusta and Arabica, is coming soon.

We are also preparing a small number of limited lots, among them co-fermented and anaerobic Arabicas from K’Ho smallholder farmers and anaerobic Robustas. They appear in the Shop as Coming Soon until each lot is secured, and their details are confirmed against the lot we actually purchase.
